MISSION:
The purpose of the Coast Guard Auxiliary is to assist the Coast Guard as authorized by the Commandant in performing any Coast Guard function, power, duty, role, mission or operation authorized by law except law enforcement and military operations.

During an average day, the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary:
Saves $341,290 in property,
Educates 369 people,
Performs 299 vessel safety checks,
Participates in 100 operational support missions,
Completes 62.5 safety patrols,
Participates in 48.7 administrative support missions,
Completes 13.4 recruiting support missions,
Performs 10.2 assists,
Completes 6.2 regatta patrols, and
Saves 1 life!!!

As a civilian volunteer, the Auxiliary offers you: search and rescue, aircraft operations, seamanship training, weather training, radio and computer operations, public education instruction, aids to navigation, vessel safety checks, support during disasters, marine safety, environmental protection, recruiting assistance, safety patrols, and more...
